The applications submission for the World Music Award Competition and the Crafts Award Competition has been opened
This year the World of Siberia festival is planned to be held from 8th to 10th of July, in Shushenskoye,
the Krasnoyarsk region.
“In Russia, 2022 has been declared as the Year of Folk Art and Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Peoples of Russia. We hope this fact will be able to attract new competition participants and support to hold the event in the traditional way. After all, the opportunity to meet like-minded people, exchange experience, and get lively emotions of the audience are the most valuable thing which gives impetus to development and inspiration for the participants’ new achievements. We are doing our best to give the creative people such opportunity,” says Deputy Executive Director of the festival, Dmitry Sirotinin.
You may submit an application for participation in crafts or world music competitions until the end of March. Applicants must send video recordings of the performance and works presentations. Sixty finalists who have passed the qualifying round will be the “MIRA” Award nominees.
The contestants will be judged by the professional jury, chaired by renowned folklorist and music producer Sergey Starostin and by the ceramics artist Alexander Migas.
There is no competition entry fee. Moreover the festival organizers cover meals and accommodation expenses for the main round participants.
