WORLD of Siberia Festival is under the patronage of UNESCO
the XVIII International Festival of World Music and Crafts "WORLD of Siberia".
UNESCO’s patronage was announced in the official letter by Grigory Ordzhonikidze,the Executive Secretary of the Commission, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
"It is gratifying that the festival has been contributing to the unique culture and traditions preservation of the Russian peoples for more than 18 years, acquaints its guests with the cultural diversity and heritage of the near and far abroad countries, promotes the strengthening of intercultural dialogue," the letter says.
Grigory Ordzhonikidze also wished the organizers success in achieving their goals, and the participants bright impressions, new discoveries and victories.
After a forced two-year break the WORLD of Siberia Festival will be held again in Shushenskoye, the Krasnoyarsk region, from July 8 to 10.
